The next FENS European Nutrition Conference will be held 
in 
Madrid, Spain, October 26-29, 2011.

MISSION: 
To conjoint efforts to develop research and education in the science of nutrition and to promote the importance of nutrition  for public health  in Europe.

VISION:
To maintain a permanent bridge for exchanges between European nutritionists with basic and applied perspective.


SPECIFIC AIMS:
1. To coordinate the European countries nutrition societies at European level
2. To promote nutrition research and knowledge, and their dessimination
3. To organize a European Nutrition Conference every 4 years and other scientific meetings
4. To facilitate Nutrition learning and training as well as scientific exchanges across Europe


Conferences :
The 10th European Nutrition Conference was held in Paris, July 10-13, 2007.

The 11th European Nutrition Conference will be held in Madrid, 2011.

What is FENS?
The Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS) is a non-profit federation consisting of 25 European nutrition societies, each representing one country. The main FENS event is the European Nutrition Conference, arranged every 4th year. The upcoming 11th European Nutrition Conference will be held in Madrid, October 2011.

According to the FENS statutes, the Federation is established for public benefit to advance research and education in the science of nutrition. It will promote learning among nutritionists generally, and European nutritionists in particular, by the holding of meetings, discussions, the exchange of information and by other appropriate means.
The Board is elected for a 4-year period, and consists of President, Secretary and Treasurer.

• One part is for public and members use and provides informations about FENS: board, activities, conferences, country members, statutes and policy, history and archives. Another section has links for INTERNATIONAL nutrition organizations, news or scientific journals.
